Upload your photographs to most AI headshot tools and you will get a stranger back. Sometimes the dastaar is gone entirely and there is a haircut where it should be. Sometimes there is something wrapped on the head that no one has ever tied. Most often the set is simply inconsistent: twelve pictures, four with it, eight without, so none of it is usable.

A LinkedIn headshot that shows you without it, or with the wrong one, is not a picture of you.

That is not a styling option somebody forgot to add. It is the tool being unable to produce you at all.

It is on in every picture

Not most of them. Every one.

There is a specific reason this goes wrong everywhere, and it is worth knowing, because it is not carelessness. Every one of these tools works by holding your face steady — keeping your bone structure, your eyes, your skin and your hair as they are, so what comes back is recognisably you rather than a better-looking stranger. That instruction is why a good set looks like you at all.

But a dastaar covers the hair. So the tool is protecting a hairstyle it has been told to protect, while also being asked to tie a turban over it, and those two things pull against each other. Which one wins is close to a coin toss, picture by picture. That is where the set with four good ones comes from.

When you choose a turban, we stop asking for the hair underneath — and nothing else changes. Your face, your skin, your expression are held exactly as tightly as before. The only instruction that goes is the one about hair that is covered anyway.

Your beard is yours

Nothing in a set asks for a beard to be changed, shortened or tidied. What comes back is learned from the photographs you upload, which is the same thing that makes the face yours.

That is worth saying plainly because it is the second thing these tools get wrong, and usually silently — a trim nobody asked for, applied because the model's idea of a corporate headshot came with one.

You choose the colour

Navy, white, black, maroon, charcoal, saffron, forest green. Pick one, or pick several and the set is spread across them.

It layers over everything else rather than replacing it, so the blazer, the room, the light and the amount of retouching are all still yours to choose.

If you wear glasses, tick that box too. It is worth ticking even when you are wearing them in the photographs you upload, because they are one of the first things these tools quietly drop.

How it works

Upload 8 to 20 photographs of yourself. Ordinary phone pictures, and better if they are not all from one afternoon — different days, different light, different places. Selfies are fine.

Choose how you want to look. The turban and its colour, what you are wearing, where you are photographed, the light. Every option is shown as a picture, so you are choosing from something you can see rather than a word.

Pick the ones you want. You get a spread of previews, you choose your favourites, and those are what you download at full size.

What it costs

$25.00 for eight HD headshots. $35.00 for sixteen HD headshots. $49.00 for twenty-four HD headshots.

Paid once, up front, and that is the whole price — the training, the previews you choose from, and the pictures. More later are $4.00 each.

Your photographs

Deleted after 30 days, along with everything trained on them. Not archived and not anonymised. Deleted, on a schedule, whether or not you ask.

Nobody browses them, they train nothing that outlives your order, and they are never shown to another customer.

Questions

Will it look like me?

It is the only thing this product is really judged on. Your face is learned from what you upload, which is why we ask for at least 8, and why variety across them matters more than how good any one of them is.

Is it tied properly?

It is rendered as a turban, tied and covering the hair, rather than as cloth draped over a head. If a set comes back wrong, tell us and we will put it right.

Can I have some pictures without it?

Not in the same set. What you choose here applies to every picture in it — that is the whole point. A second set is a separate order.

Do I have to say what I do for a living?

No. If you do, it only changes the room you are photographed in, never what you are wearing.

What if none of them are any good?

Tell us. None of this is worth having if the pictures are not usable.
